DeepSeek officially denies the rumor: R2 release is fake news

On March 11, there were rumors that DeepSeek would release the next generation R2 model on March 17. In response, DeepSeek's official corporate consulting account responded in the user group, clearly stating that "rumors debunked: R2 release is fake news."

DeepSeek's R1 model became an instant hit after its release in January this year, and continued to dominate major mainstream media and social networking sites.

This model overturns the traditional perception that "large models require large computing power" and breaks the mainstream position of the United States in this field, so it has attracted much attention. For this reason, everyone is full of expectations for DeepSeek R2.

In February this year, DeepSeek announced that it only has three official accounts, namely the WeChat public account "DeepSeek", Xiaohongshu @DeepSeek (deepseek_ai) and X (Twitter): DeepSeek (@deepseek_ai).

The official emphasized that all information related to DeepSeek is based on official accounts. Any information released by unofficial accounts or personal accounts does not represent the views of DeepSeek. Please be careful to distinguish. (Source: Fast Technology)
